Travel Planning — Getting to the Retreat
+ Is airfare included?
Airfare to Bangkok, Thailand, and travel insurance are not included. We HIGHLY recommend purchasing both airline flight insurance and a trip insurance policy from a third party provider like Allianz or insuremytrip.com. All connecting flights and transportation between cities (Bangkok, Chiang Mai and Phuket) and activities are included.
+ What airport do I fly into?
Your final destination is Bangkok, Thailand (Suvarnabhumi Airport, Airport Code: BKK)
+ What is the best route to take to Thailand?
If you are able to fly out of a major West Coast hub like SFO or LAX it tends to increase the possibility of getting a direct flight to either connect in Tokyo, Taipei, or Hong Kong. Other major hubs like New York (JFK) also have direct flights to the Far East.
+ Which airline(s) do you recommend?
When booking in advance, we suggest Singapore Airlines for both price and convenience; as well as quality. EVA Air, Delta, Emirates, and Qatar Airlines also offer flights to Thailand.
We also recommend flight comparison websites, such as Skyscanner, Kayak, or Google Flights, which can be incredibly useful in your search for less expensive flights to Thailand. These platforms compile and compare prices from various airlines, allowing you to easily compare fares and choose the most affordable option.
Flying from the Eastern half of the USA, you may find flights from $900 to $1400 round trip. The flights typically fly from New York or Boston, connecting through Hong Kong, Taipei, or Tokyo and then on to Bangkok (BKK).
Flying from the Western half of the USA (SFO OR LAX) is usually cheaper. Flights from LAX or SFO can be found from $800 to $1200 round trip to Bangkok (BKK) (more if you’re flying from Phoenix or Albuquerque). However, the closer to the retreat date that you purchase your ticket, the higher the prices will tend to be. Though, different airlines will run daily or weekly specials at particular times, so keep an eye on the changing rates.
Don't shy away from exploring budget airlines. They often provide lower-cost flights to popular destinations like Thailand. Although they may offer fewer amenities, you can save a significant amount of money by opting for budget carriers.
If you are able to take a domestic flight to one of the major airports (like SFO or LAX on the west cost – or JFK or EWR on the east coast) you will typically find more direct, less time-consuming (and less expensive) flights to Tokyo, Hong Kong, Taipei o where you can connect to Bangkok, Thailand.
+ How long is the flight to Thailand?
Plan for a long flight with connections and layovers along the route. The average flight duration to Thailand varies depending on your departure point:
From the East Coast (e.g., New York, Boston): Flights typically take around 20 to 22 hours, including layovers.
From the West Coast (e.g., Los Angeles, San Francisco): Flights are slightly shorter, averaging 17 to 19 hours, including layovers.
The exact time depends on factors like the airline, layover duration, and route. Long journey, but worth it for the adventure awaiting you in Thailand!
Therefore, you should plan on a minimum of 24-30 hours travel time and be creative with your itinerary — you may need to book a hotel and spend the night in Hong Kong or Taipei along the way. Make it an adventure! Also, many airports offer in-airport accommodation (small rooms with showers) where you can rest and refresh during a long lay-over).
+ How much time should I allow for travel?
Because you are crossing so many time zones, you will need to depart 1 or 2 days before you wish to arrive. Check well when booking your flight the arrival time at the final destination, Bangkok (BKK). Consider you may need 1–2 hours for immigration, baggage claim and customs upon arrival. You will make that time difference back up on the return flight. On the way home, you will usually arrive the same day you depart Thailand.
+ Why do you offer 2 extra days at the start of the trip?
The jet lag is real! Thailand is 11–14 hours ahead of the US, depending on your location (East or West Coast). We strongly recommend arriving a day or two early in order to rest and acclimate.
+ How do I get to the hotel from the airport?
Upon your arrival, a representative will greet you and assist you with immigration, visa, luggage and escort you to a private car that will take you to the hotel.
Weather and Seasonal Information
+ Temperatures
Thailand's weather during this period is generally pleasant, making it a great time to visit! During late October to mid-November we have the following temperatures for our destinations:
Bangkok: Daytime temperatures range from 77°F to 89°F (25°C to 32°C), with relatively dry weather as the rainy season ends.
Chiang Mai: Cooler than Bangkok, with temperatures between 66°F to 86°F (19°C and 30°C). Nights can be chilly, so pack a light waterproof jacket!
Phuket: Warmer and more humid, with averages around 73°F to 88°F (23°C to 31°C). Rainfall is still common, but it starts to decrease. A good reason to have a light waterproof jacket!
Is this a Yoga Adventure or A Yoga Retreat?
+ Yoga Adventures vs. Yoga Retreats
Our journey blends yoga, spirituality and wellness, but also include an array of cultural activities and outdoor expeditions. Our trip to Thailand is a hybrid of both types. With the first week in Bangkok and Chian Mai focuses on experiencing the sacred mysticism, history and Thai life. The second week in Phuket includes a tropical paradise setting by the beac, where we continue our journey into a profound embodiment and integration. Our daily activities include Yoga, breathwork, somatic practices, nourishing spa treatments, delicious Ayurveda meals, free time and more. Every moment of this curated experience is designed to bring you deeper into presence, purpose, and divine feminine remembrance — supported by Thailand’s sacred temples, natural beauty, and ancient wisdom.

Vaccination
The vaccination requirement to enter Thailand as been lifted. There is NO proof of vaccine to enter. No testing or masks are required either.

What Should I pack?
Everyone has different preferred traveling items, but we recommend bringing the following: Sunscreen, Bathing Suit, Sarong, or Cover Up Towel. Electronic Chargers/Power Bank. Comfortable Clothing and Footwear and Yoga Attire. (The hotel accommodations provide Bath and Hand towels).
You may want to bring an extra bag to carry home any treasures you pick up along the way — Thailand is renowned for its markets and shopping.
**We will provide an extensive packing list after booking. **
Do I need to pack an adaptor?
Yes, Thailand uses plug types A, B, C, and O. Types A and B are the same as in the U.S., but you might encounter Type C (two round pins) and Type O (unique to Thailand). A universal travel adaptor is highly recommended to ensure compatibility. Many modern devices like laptops and phone chargers are dual voltage (110–240V), so they will work in Thailand with just an adaptor.
Are meals included? Can I request special meals?
Yes, meals are included 3 Meals Daily (except in Bangkok where we only offer breakfast).
You can request a special diet, such as vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-free, or specify any dietary restrictions, including allergies, when making your booking.
